Before moving on with the story, we should talk about Knit One, Kill Two. Karen lives in Moscow and has a degree in fashion design. Knit One, Kill Two is actually a knitwear design label she founded with her associate Stiliyan Youngi. The label created queer-friendly clothes that were banned from prominent stores in Russia . If you’re unfamiliar with this trend (as I was), it’s a response to so many of the gay men being persecuted and killed after propaganda laws were passed prohibiting “the discussion of non-traditional sexual relationships” from very young children onward .
