From 2003 to 2016 logos on MLB apparel have been stitched with the character ‘*’ instead of the letter ‘H.’ Commemorate the era with this re-imagined classic. We collaborated with Houston graphic designer Sammey Baumel to recreate one of the defining pieces of Houston street wear for a more modern era. The Houston Asterisks Sweater is perfect for anyone living in one of the 22 towns and 13 cities in Greater Houston with the name “Houston.” It just doesn’t get more patriotic than this quilted American flag pattern. *Sweater made in collaboration with the famed street artist and features a pull over “asterisk” pattern.
The asterisk pattern started appearing the late 1990’s in Houston on the back of Gothic T-shirts declaring that “Houston was about to be something.” The shape has since become an icon for both Houston and its creative culture.
