The team is outfitted to show their unity with the Cancer Treatment Centers of America by wearing an apple on the front of all player jerseys and black piping around their blue, red, and white uniforms. Support them by wearing your own “fight like a fighter The start of hockey season means the start of a new Spirit Cup campaign. The inaugural tournament will see the hockey community unite to support CURE – the largest nonprofit funding early-stage cancer research and patient care. Why 12 months? Victory awaits on or before November 1st and we can’t wait to bring it home October is a month for awareness, both for cancer and for other health conditions as well. Cancer, heart disease and inflammatory diseases are special interest groups that the NHL Washington Capitals stand in unity with.
Every game on the 31st of October will have a customized uniform day to show solidarity with these organizations.
Also they own a special uniforms series just for the month of October, which “looks like your childhood hockey jersey.” How creative!
